ABOUT

OUR COMPANY BACKGROUND

TOP-NOTCH MOVING SERVICES

In 1964, John E. Loidhamer purchased Jakwoth Transfer of Enumclaw, Washington, for $2,000. The name of the company was changed to United Transfer and relocated to Bremerton, Washington. The original company consisted of one truck, one employee, a 2,500-square-foot warehouse and a lot of hopes and expectations.

Today, we’re a second-generation, family-owned company that takes our work seriously, and we work hard to make sure your moving experience goes as smoothly as possible.

United Moving & Storage now operates out of a 60,000-square-foot tilt-up warehouse with offices. This warehouse is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art fire, video and security alarm system, gated and fenced yard, loading docks, and an 80-foot, 100,000-pound-capacity certified scale.

Over the years, the employee family has grown from one employee in 1964 to over 60 employees today, and now operates more than 30 pieces of equipment.
